Zusammenfassung

Die Anti-Aging-Medizin beschäftigt sich mit allgemeinen biologischen Alterungsfaktoren. Sie untersucht aber auch das spezifische Altern einzelner Organsysteme. Das gilt für das Herz- Kreislauf-System, das Skelettsystem und das zentrale Nervensystem. Es gilt nicht zuletzt auch für unser Immunsystem. Auch hier lassen sich mit zunehmendem Lebensalter Veränderungen feststellen, die häufig mit einer verminderten Funktionalität einhergehen.
