Abstract

The construction of high-voltage installations for buildings with supply from medium and low voltage installations is explained. The basics of self-generation with photovoltaics and small wind turbines are also part of it. Telecommunications and information technology differentiate the numerous applications for telecommunications, electroacoustics, television and antenna systems, alarm and alarm systems and data technology. The representation of building automation closes the chapter.

The amount of heat W generated by the electric current is proportional to the square of the current strength I, the resistance R of the current-carrying conductor, and the time.

Acoustic signals such as speech or music are naturally analog, i.e. changes occur continuously. In the analog telephone system, acoustic signals are converted into electrical signals of different intensities and frequencies and transmitted over the line network. Digital systems (Latin digitus = finger, number) convert the constantly changing values such as sound pressure and frequency into digital values. As a binary number combination (0 or 1), they can be processed in data devices (e.g. computers).
