Abstract
When IT takes on a new and increasingly important role in the company, this naturally has an impact on the role of the CIO! In addition to the description and definition of CIO role models, this chapter is primarily concerned with the new tasks of the CIO and the presentation of which skills and competencies a CIO must have in a modern company.
