Zusammenfassung
Unternehmen haben als zentrale Akteure des Wirtschaftsgeschehens einen wesentlichen Einfluss darauf, wie umweltschädlich und ressourcenintensiv die Produktion von Gütern und Dienstleistungen erfolgt. Sie orientieren sich dabei an dominanten Wirtschaftsordnungen und Bewertungsprozessen. Es ist eine offene Forschungsfrage, inwiefern Unternehmen ihren Material- und Energiedurchsatz langfristig reduzieren werden und welche Rolle sie in einer ökologischen Transformation der Gesellschaft spielen können.
