Zusammenfassung
Das Wechselspiel von Erwerbstätigkeit und Familie lässt sich auf der Ebene des Alltagshandelns sowie auf der Ebene (gesellschaftlich geprägter) individueller Leitbilder und Ziele konzeptualisieren. Unter Bezug auf ausgewählte empirische Studien werden entsprechend dieser Betrachtungsebenen stress- und ressourcentheoretische Ansätze beleuchtet sowie eine biografieorientierte Lebensspannenperspektive hinsichtlich des Zusammenspiels von Beruf und Familie eingenommen und anhand verschiedener Beispiele diskutiert (u. a. beruflicher Aus- und Wiedereinstieg nach der Geburt von Kindern). Es lässt sich feststellen, dass das Ausbleiben von Konflikten zwischen Beruf und Familie eine verkürzte Sichtweise eines gelungenen Zusammenspiels zwischen den Lebensbereichen darstellt, vielmehr sind auch positive Transferprozesse und synergetische Aspekte zu betrachten. Als besonders aufschlussreich stellen sich Forschungszugänge heraus, die sowohl intra- aber auch intergenerational ausgerichtete systemisch orientierte Betrachtung des Zusammenspiels von Erwerbstätigkeit und Familie realisieren.
