Abstract
Since 1982, personal computers with the components microprocessor, RAM and ROM units, cache memory, hard disks, backup systems for data protection, and system peripherals have dominated many applications in electronics. However, when technicians, engineers, and scientists are dealing with electronic measurement technology, process control systems, digital control technology, analog controls with microcontrollers, converter systems, and other technical and scientific problems, operational amplifiers are used. Figure 2.1 shows the structure of a PC system for the acquisition of analog measured values, digital processing, and the output of analog values. In this setup, the operational amplifier is the most important component.
