Zusammenfassung

Noch vor wenigen Jahren wurde auf breiter Front beklagt, die Hauptströmungen von Disziplinen wie Anthropologie, Politikwissenschaft, Soziologie oder Wirtschaftswissenschaft würden den Emotionen nicht genügend Aufmerksamkeit schenken. Gefühle würden, so hieß es, „methodisch abgewertet“ und nicht selten für „unnötig“ erklärt. Sie gälten „als irrationale oder arationale Kräfte, die die vernünftigen Absichten des Menschen durchkreuzen“ (Zitate bei Hartmann 2005, S. 11–12).
