Zusammenfassung
Bildungsaspirationen spielen eine wichtige Rolle für den Bildungserfolg. Schülerinnen und Schüler mit hohen Bildungsaspirationen haben im Vergleich zu jenen mit geringen Bildungsaspirationen eine höhere Wahrscheinlichkeit, gute Schulleistungen zu erzielen, auf einem akademischen Schulzweig unterrichtet zu werden und höhere Bildungsabschlüsse zu erreichen. Hohe Bildungsaspirationen ermöglichen darüber hinaus, sozioökonomisch bedingte Effekte auf die Lernergebnisse in Schule und Hochschule zu verringern. Das vorliegende Kapitel widmet sich dem Konstrukt der Bildungsaspiration und stellt Bezüge her sowohl zu den familialen Determinanten von Bildungsaspirationen als auch zu den Auswirkungen von Bildungsaspirationen auf den Bildungserfolg.
