Avant d‘examiner les propriétiés biologiques de l‘acth et le mécanisme qui règie sa sécrétion, je voudrais vous rappeler que l‘acth joue un rôle primordial dans un des principaux phénomènes de la vie de l‘organisme: le maintien et la régulation de l’homéostasie. Cette substance étonnante nous permet de supporter le froid et la chaleur, la faim et la suralimentation, de vivre malgré les conditions changeantes du milieu extérieur et, de survivre aux agressions
