Zusammenfassung
Die Diagnose Kardiomyopathie umfaßt die Erkrankungen des Myokards, deren Ursache weder eine koronare Durchblutungsstörung noch eine mechanische Überbelastung des Herzmuskels ist. Nach Goodwin [4] werden drei Hauptformen unterschieden:

die kongestive Kardiomyopathie (COCM)

2.
die hypertrophische Kardiomyopathie (HCM) mit und ohne Obstruktion

3.
die restriktive Kardiomyopathie (ROCM), auf die wegen ihrer Seltenheit hier nicht eingegangen wird.
