Zusammenfassung

In den vorangegangenen Abschnitten wurden im wesentlichen die hämodynamischen Aspekte der TCD behandelt. Es wurde gezeigt, daß für die meisten hämodynamischen Fragestellungen die Vmean-Kurve des TCD-Signals ausreicht und die Informationsfülle, die im Farbspektrum steckt, unberücksichtigt bleiben kann. In diesem Abschnitt wird eine noch vergleichsweise junge Anwendung des TCD-Monitorings eingeführt, die auf der Analyse des Farbspektrums beruht: die Emboliedetektion.
