Abstract
Heat flow calorimetry is a quantitative, noninvasive, and simple method of assessing the skin’s thermal conductivity, either when the vessels of the capillary system are stationary or when the vessels are dilatated after being stimulated by heat. The tissue blood supply is recorded by measuring locally applied heat as it diffuses.
