Zusammenfassung

Die zystische Fibrose bzw. Mukoviszidose ist die häufigste Erbkrankheit weltweit. Ihre Inzidenz in Deutschland liegt bei ca. 1 pro 2.500 Lebendgeburten. Die geschätzte Zahl an Mukoviszidosepatienten in Deutschland beträgt 7.000; davon sind 2.284 in einem zentralen, nationalen Register erfaßt (Qualitätssicherung Mukoviszidose 1996).
