Zusammenfassung

Durch ein Schädel-Hirn-Trauma (SHT) kommt es zum Verlust von Gehirnzellen, hierbei sind alle gehirnspezifischen Zellreihen wie Neurone, Astrozyten und Oligodendrozyten betroffen. Der Verlust dieser Zellen ist wiederum mit kognitiven, als auch motorischen Behinderungen, je nach Ort und Größe der Läsion assoziiert. Als neuer, kurativer Therapieansatz könnte der Ersatz von geschädigten/toten Zellen durch neu hinzugefügte Zellen überlegt werden.
