Zusammenfassung

In dem Abschnitt Extraktion wird ausführlich die Technik der Zahnextraktion einschließlich der Behandlung von Komplikationen und unter Berücksichtigung von Besonderheiten, wie der Zahnsanierung bei Patienten mit Antikoagulanzientherapie dargestellt. Der operativen Zahnentfernung sowie der Zahnfreilegung sind eigene Abschnitte gewidmet. Neben der Hemisektion und Wurzelamputation werden auch die Wurzelspitzenresektion und die Zahntransplantation sowie die Zystenoperationen abgehandelt. Der Abschnitt Kieferhöhle geht auf Krankheitsbilder wie Mund-Antrum-Verbindung, Sinusitis sowie benigne und maligne Kieferhöhlentumoren ein. Des Weiteren wird auf die Technik der Biopsie sowie ambulante präprothetische und kieferorthopädische Eingriffe und die Mukogingivalchirurgie eingegangen.
