Abstract

An overview is presented of a non-empirical CFD/CAA numerical system for jet noise prediction developed by the joint US – Russia team since 2002. Key elements of the system are discussed and examples are considered of its application to flow and noise computation for a wide range of cases that progress in the direction of the complete simulation of exhaust jets from real airliner engines.
