Abstract

Substituted diacetylenes have been polymerized by low energy electron irradiation, leading to single crystal polymers. Films thicknesses can be controlled by adjusting the incident electron energy. The work reported here concerns TS-6 single crystals. Using photothermal probe beam deflection technique, we have measured the ratios of anisotropic properties: optical dicluoism and thermal diffusivity.
