Abstract

We had planned originally to present a broad overview of applications of x-ray microscopy to biological problems in this paper. However, recent progress from our group that provides an excellent demonstration of the utility of x-ray microscopy for research in biology, has changed our mind. The observations we have made, to our knowledge the first report of time-resolved structural change within single biological structures at high resolution, now form the focus of this presentation.
