Abstract

This chapter provides a fuzzy logic based approach to posture recognition in Ballet dance. The initial section of the chapter deals with a brief introduction to fuzzy sets and its characteristics, while the later part of the chapter is entirely devoted to the discussion of the technique. The techniques of chain code generation, straight line approximation and matching using a fuzzy T-norm operator populate the contents of the chapter thereby illustrating and validating the suggested algorithm.
