Abstract

Mixing and separation processes play an important role in technical applications. This chapter discusses mixing and separation of (ideal) mixtures without phase change. Osmotic processes in water-salt solutions such as desalination and osmotic power generation are evaluated. The work for removal of carbon dioxide from air or power plant exhaust is determined and discussed.
