Fractures of the Scapula

Abstract

With the dizzying growth in the number of reverse shoulder arthroplasties (RSA), a rare but emerging complication is gaining attention: the periprosthetic scapular spine or acromial fracture following RSA. In this chapter, we will present epidemiological aspects, the potential risk factors, and the current management of this challenging complication.
