Abstract
Geiger counters sometimes offer the possibility to estimate the absolute radiation dose, displaying not only the number of counts per minute, but also the corresponding units for the absorbed dose, by a proper calibration factor. A few considerations are here reported concerning the conversion from individual events (or number of events per unit of time) to absolute radiation dose.
