Exploring Entrepreneurship

Abstract

The significance of entrepreneurship for economic growth and employment creation has made it a critical subject in diverse economic deliberations globally. It holds as particularly valuable within an African context, where youth unemployment and pervasive economic challenges persist. Within this sphere, entrepreneurship's value, particularly youth entrepreneurship, gains significant recognition. Youth entrepreneurship serves as a critical key to economic development and poverty reduction, potentially offering an efficacious solution to employment dilemmas faced by nations worldwide. Driven by nascent minds, new ideas, and fresh approaches, it can transform an economy through innovation, job creation, and social resilience. Zimbabwe, a country acutely affected by unemployment, possesses immense untapped potential in this regard. This chapter provides a critical glimpse into youth entrepreneurship in Zimbabwe and explores how it can serve as a key to unlocking the potential of the country's next generation. The chapter discussed various factors associated with youth entrepreneurship, alongside its challenges, importance, and ways to harness and unlock the next generation's entrepreneurial capabilities among Zimbabwe youths.
