Abstract

This article discusses how innovative technologies, such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), artificial intelligence (AI), and big data analytics, have impacted the tourism industry. It explains how these technologies promote destinations, enhance the tourist experience, and drive revenue growth. The study explores the opportunities and challenges presented by these technologies and their potential to transform the tourism industry. The research methodology section explains that the authors conducted a sco** procedure to identify relevant articles related to innovative technologies and the tourism industry. The article concludes that innovative technologies transform how tourists interact with destinations, and their impact defines the tourism industry’s future. It also highlights that digital technologies are being used to promote sustainable tourism practices and provide personalised and engaging travel experiences.
