Abstract
The present study investigates the potential of enhancing the efficiency of supply chain procedures by employing the internet of things and blockchain technology. This is particularly relevant in light of the COVID-19 outbreak, which has highlighted the importance of creating robust and dependable supply chain systems that are less dependent on human intervention and more effective in regulating the movement of goods. The research examined 47 publications that concentrated on sustainability, traceability, machine learning, big data, artificial intelligence, and resilience. In the contemporary business landscape, the prosperity of a corporation relies not only on its internal functions but also on the competence and productivity of its complete supply network. Monitoring commodities during their progression through the value chain has become progressively intricate. Still, companies can leverage IoT and blockchain technology to monitor and track products, ensure privacy and security, and optimise operations in manufacturing, food supply chains, transportation, and warehousing. Combining IoT and blockchain technology can enhance supply chain transparency and trust. The research highlights the importance of big data analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence in supporting sustainable social, economic, and environmental development.
