Integral Communication and Digital Identity

Abstract

The three areas in which integral communication will play a particularly important role are personal development, organisational learning, and the Internet of Things. Through integrative strategies and IT solutions that promote integral personal development and organisational learning, modern society can redesign its organisational policies to reduce the problems of sustainability, mental health, structural unemployment, overall quality of public services, and increasing inequality in the availability of public services. Integral personal development is an individual transformation process supported by a communication framework in which end users improve their character, knowledge, and skills through interaction with other users. Through the application of integral communication solutions, people have the opportunity to develop in various psychological, emotional, intellectual, social, economic, and/or spiritual areas. The ability to effectively share feedback is a basic requirement for personal development and organisational learning. Given that direct sharing of negative feedback can be quite risky and difficult, it is necessary to enable indirect methods of sharing feedback through an information system that allows for calibration of user policies, access control for those who have the right to share feedback, a high level of user privacy, and trust in the information presented. Integral organisational learning is a collective transformation process supported by a communication framework in which organisational members improve their perceptual capacity, coordination, and behaviour in relation to changes in group interaction. Structured sharing of critical information improves communication, coordination, cooperation, and collaboration among different types of social actors and enhances personalised communication between humans and artificial intelligence devices in an IoT environment.
