Abstract

With the outbreak of infectious diseases, the hospital provides the hierarchical diagnosis for the chronic disease such as nephropathy is necessary [17]. It can improve the hospital efficiency and save the medical resources [4]. However, the hierarchical diagnosis involves the imprecision, hesitation and ambiguity of the risk information and further decision investigation [15]. In the framework of three-way decision with decision-theoretic rough sets (DTRSs), this chapter utilizes the interval-valued q-rung Orthopair fuzzy sets (IVq-ROFSs) to represent the imprecise and hesitant information and further generalizes IVq-ROFSs to medical diagnosis about nephropathy [11]. For the continuous information, we explore the aggregation of interval continuity of IVq-ROFSs by adopting \(\varepsilon \)-amendment to amend integral region of IVq-ROFSs for removing unmeaning point in advance. Inspired by the similarity class [10], a new equivalence class method is presented to support three-way decision. With the aid of the integral of IVq-ROFSs and equivalence class method, we fuse the loss functions of the equivalence class and obtain the classifying rules of three-way decision by comparing the expected losses, which is used to support the medical diagnosis of nephropathy based on the results of Ref. [11].
