Abstract
Perturbation methods are analytical techniques used to obtain approximate solutions to problems in mathematics as well as in various engineering disciplines. The basic idea in this approach is to construct an approximate solution to a problem using an exact solution to a slightly different problem. The mathematical simplification associated with this method is linearization and/or replacement of a variable or its derivative with a specified function.
