Abstract
At present, the planning and construction of Sponge City projects are comprehensively carried out in various cities in China. In the life cycle including the construction and operation of Sponge City projects, the methods for accounting the amount of carbon emissions should be further studied. This paper analyzed the current research on the carbon emission of low-impact development (LID), best management practices (BMPs), green infrastructures (GI) and stormwater control measures (SCMs) in foreign countries, our country's research on stormwater management and flood control measures (SCMs), as well as the research progress of carbon emissions in similar fields. The methods and requirements of carbon emissions accounting in the life cycle mainly including construction, operation and maintenance stage of Sponge city projects were discussed, which may provide reference for the implementation of carbon emissions accounting in the construction and planning of Sponge City projects.
