Abstract

China has a large output of organic solid waste, which is rich in organic matters. The waste can be turned into treasure by reasonable treatment. Organic solid waste mainly includes kitchen waste, straw, sludge, livestock and poultry manure, etc. It is mainly composed of lignocellulose, protein and fat. In addition, sludge and manure contains a lot of ash. At present, the commonly used organic solid waste treatment and recycling processes mainly include anaerobic fermentation, composting, hydrothermal carbonization and pyrolysis. This paper focuses on the types and characteristics of organic solid wastes, and compares the advantages and disadvantages of different treatment processes. According to the composition and process characteristics of organic solid wastes, some cooperative treatment processes are pointed out, so as to provide reference for efficient treatment and recycling of organic solid wastes in the future.
