Zusammenfassung

Kooperatives Lernen wird anhand der Erkenntnis diskutiert, dass der Einsatz von Kleingruppen, in denen Schüler zusammenarbeiten, um ihr eigenes und gegenseitiges Lernen zu maximieren, sowohl soziale als auch schulische Leistungen optimiert. Dabei wird verdeutlicht, dass einfaches Arbeiten in Kleingruppen nicht kooperatives Lernen darstellt. Was das kooperative Lernen von anderen Arten der Gruppenarbeit unterscheidet, sind die positive Interdependenz und die individuelle Verantwortung. Diese grundlegenden Elemente werden aufgrund ihrer Bedeutung als entscheidende Komponenten wirksamer kooperativer Interaktionen beschrieben. Es werden Strategien erörtert, die Lehrern bei der Entwicklung und Aufrechterhaltung kooperativen Unterrichts helfen, und es werden kooperative Unterrichtsaktivitäten beschrieben, die die Beteiligung der Schüler fördern und das Lernen erleichtern.
