Abstract
In this chapter, we discuss the physical phenomena related to the existence of the Ocean on the Earth’s surface. The chemical composition and mass of water in oceans and seas on the Earth are considered. Then we study the main features of ocean currents. Additionally, we review the physics of oceanic wave formation and the various types of waves in the Ocean. Such phenomena as foams on sea waves, sea swells, tsunamis, moonglades, and the color of the sea depending on weather conditions are discussed.
