Abstract
Contrary to popular belief, gamification is not the use of games. In fact, it is not really about games at all. And behind it is some deep science and decades of expertise all focused on one thing: how to get people to repeat a certain behavior. In this chapter, we’re going to reveal and explain gamification for what it really is, and what it has to offer in the way of practical, everyday techniques that every manager can use.
