Abstract
The electric grid is indispensable in today’s society, including science and technology development, industrial production, and daily life. The research on the electric grid has never stopped since the Second Industrial Revolution. Because of the explosive growth of science and technology in the Third Industrial Revolution and the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the research on electric grids is facing new challenges as well as new opportunities. One opportunity is big data providing an innovative and exciting perspective on the electric grid.
