Abstract

The flange sealing surface of the pressure vessel is fastened by bolts. Under the action of internal gas pressure, the safety degree of the bolt force determines the air tightness of the flange seal. According to the function characteristics of the bolt structure on the sealing surface of the pressure vessel flange, the problem of the bolt force balance is analyzed. Through theoretical calculation and finite element analysis, it finds that under the pressure service ratings, the flange sealing surface is in good working condition and the bolts are stressed evenly, which meets the design requirements. Through the check calculation, this inference is warranted by the facts that the force of the bolts is within the allowable stress range, and the entire pressure vessel is in a safe working status. Therefore, they are within acceptable safe limits.
