Abstract
This chapter aims to review the regulations and measures concerning security and safety in the ship** industry. We begin with a historical overview of the development of international regulatory frameworks, before exploring the standards that currently govern the ship** industry. We then move to discuss the ship** industry’s responses to regulatory measures and identify some of the possible future directions for regulation of the ship** industry.
