Abstract

The chapter opens with discussions related to funding for technology. Next, the author examines the digital divide in its three forms–“Economic divide,” “Usability divide,” and “Empowerment divide.” Later, the writer analyzes efforts to close the digital divide gap. Subsequently, the chapter revisits technology funding and the digital divide under the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, the chapter summarizes the issues discussed and addresses their implications for policy and practices.

A vicious cycle.
