Abstract
This chapter explains how MADE can function as a tool supporting instructional design. It first gives an overview of current research which consistently finds that teachers do not feel sufficiently prepared to work with multilingual learners and that they would like to have access to knowledge and tools that can better assist them in planning and delivering lessons in linguistically and culturally diverse settings. The chapter then explains how teachers can use the MADE model for instructional design and curriculum development.
