Abstract
The Biobank management is a process that orientates the organization toward achieving the objectives set in an efficient and effective manner. Efficiency means a favorable ratio of inputs to outputs. Effectiveness, on the other hand, means that all planned activities are performed and, thus, the objectives assumed are accomplished. One of the key roles in ensuring greater compatibility between the organization and its environment is its structure, i.e., the arrangement of the units of the organization and the interrelationships between them. The specificity of Biobank management manifests itself primarily in the scope of its activities, mission, objectives, specified environment, structures, and key values. To ensure the proper functioning of the Biobank organization and smooth cooperation between people, the management should make every effort to establish the principles of internal and external communication process, including, among other things, the flow of information, the principles of issuing documents inside and outside Biobank as well as the principles of communication with external organizations and stakeholders (including research participants).
