Abstract
Consciousness-based leadership and management (CBLM) can be described as operating from higher states of consciousness, from being self-aware and inclusive, and raising the consciousness of those around themselves. It has the potential to generate higher compassion, creativity, confidence, inclusivity, and adaptability to address the grand challenges facing humanity effectively. CBLM can be achieved by the development of one’s consciousness by regularly and systematically transcending the surface reality and connecting with the unbounded silent source of pure Consciousness that is the source of all the laws of nature (Hagelin, Modern Science and Vedic Science 1:29–88, 1987). From the proceedings of an international conference held on CBLM, this chapter presents three master principles for CBLM and how to develop and manage from higher states of consciousness. It then provides a brief synopsis of this volume, which includes diverse perspectives on CBLM from the Vedic, Buddhist, and other philosophical traditions. The chapter concludes with an imaginative presentation of a future world where the widespread adoption of CBLM leads to universal flourishing.
