Abstract
This chapter provides an overview of studies on SRL strategies and language learning strategies (LLSs) The proceeding sections present a summary of popular measures used to investigate SRL strategies and LLSs in both L1 and L2 settings. This chapter ends by arguing for incorporating SRL principles into LLS studies to promote robust research on strategic learning in L2 settings.
