Abstract
Discrete trial teaching (DTT) is one of the most commonly implemented behavior analytic techniques for autistics/individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. In this chapter we will describe various components associated with DTT, provide an analysis of the research on DTT, discuss some misconceptions often associated with DTT, review the evidence base of DTT that makes DTT an evidence-based practice, and provide suggestions for future research and clinical practice.
