Side Effects of Cancer Therapy

Abstract

The surgery of the colorectal cancer is very well standardized, nevertheless the operating surgeon should be aware of the main risks and complications that may occur during or after surgery. The surgery of the peritoneal metastatic colorectal cancer, however, is associated with a relatively high morbidity, therefore it should be performed only in special certified centers. Here mortality rates as low as 2% may be achieved.
