Abstract
From 1874 to 2020. A year-wise search with the term Koro, Genital Retraction Syndrome, Koro-like Symptom, and Koro Delusion is done through databases like PsychINFO, CINAHL, Medline, EMCARE, and EMBASE for English language journals. Some non-English publications were also available (like Dutch, Chinese, French, Polish, Finish, Spanish, German, Turkish, and Arabic) with English abstracts. Some Koro-related topics were also included to better understand the Koro psychopathology, like body image and depersonalization, coital death, psychiatric epidemics, penis theft epidemic, and Mass Psychogenic Illness in Africa.
