Abstract
If we plan before we write, then there’s a much better chance that we’ll write clearly and coherently. Without a plan, then experience tells us your project may simply miss the mark. You might get lucky, of course, but why leave it to chance? As a freelancer, it can result in spending a lot longer than you had estimated for the work. Sometimes even affect the standard of the work because it’s not as ordered or well-structured as it should be. What’s the problem, as long as you deliver? As a freelancer, you can just put in the extra time. That’s true but think back to our earlier chapter on making freelancing a viable proposition, which will pay all our bills and more. That’s not going to happen if you have to effectively keep throwing in extra, unpaid hours. This chapter covers:
-
Project planning
-
The planning process
-
Step-by-step planning
-
Kee** track of projects
-
