Abstract
To better understand Spanish questions, we must distinguish two sorts: the “confirmation” type (answerable with sí or no); and the “information” type (featuring an interrogative word like quién, qué, cuál, cuándo, cómo, dónde, por qué…; which expects specific content in the answer, more than a sí or no). These two question types have characteristics that do not always match those of their English counterparts.
