This illustrated review emphasizes the important aspects of PMCT in cases of burned victims. It also highlighs the aspects of the PMCT report in this context, which should contain identification elements, describe optimal sites for biological sample collection, potentiel vitality signs as well as list the typical findings in charred body and ante mortem injuries. Any abnormalities and injuries have to be transmitted to the pathologist in order to offer guidance during the autopsy.
