Abstract
Part II contains a selection of 150 letters from Venn’s correspondence. The selection is chronologically ordered and divided into four periods: I. Student: 1853–1857; II. Curate: 1858–1962; III. Moral Scientist: 1862–1899; and IV. Looking Back: 1900–1923. All letters are numbered for purposes of reference, using the style 123 in continuous text. The heading of each letter gives the relevant manuscript information (abbreviated name of the archive, collection and item number), the full name of both sender and recipient, and the actual or presumed date and place of writing, which are placed at the head of the document regardless of their location in the original.
