Abstract

Executive functioning in relation to psychological functioning and assessment refers to higher order mental organization, self-regulation, and the capacity to engage in efficient, planful action. Goal-setting, time management, marshaling resources, making mid-course corrections, and kee** sight of the overall relevant situation are all important aspects of executive functioning. More particularly, executive functioning can be understood in three related domains, explicated below.
