Abstract

In this chapter, we propose a mathematical model governed by fractional partial differential equations (FPDEs) that describes the dynamics of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in presence of humoral and cellular immune responses which are mediated by antibodies and cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) cells. The incidence of infection is modeled by Hattaf-Yousfi functional response that includes various forms existing in the literature. Furthermore, the global properties of the model are rigorously investigated. Finally, numerical simulations are presented to support the analytical results.
